About Us
The B.Sc. Nautical Science is a bachelor’s degree designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in the maritime sector. This program blends classroom learning with hands-on training, preparing students to take on responsibilities as deck officers on commercial and merchant vessels.
The curriculum covers a broad range of topics essential to maritime operations, including ship navigation, cargo handling, ship stability, maritime law, meteorology, marine engineering, and communication systems. Students also gain in-depth understanding of safety protocols, ship maneuvering, and emergency management, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-life scenarios at sea.
A key feature of the program is practical exposure. Cadets spend time on training ships or participate in industry internships, allowing them to directly apply classroom concepts to the daily operations of a ship. This hands-on experience is critical for developing both technical expertise and decision-making skills.
