IMU-CET Requirement
Candidates must have qualified in the Online Common Entrance Test (IMU-CET) conducted by the Indian Maritime University with a rank below 4000.
Academic Eligibility
Option 1: 10+2 Qualification
Passed 12th Standard (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects.
Minimum 70% aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics).
At least 50% marks in English in either 10th or 12th Standard.
10th and 12th must be completed from a recognized board.
Option 2: B.Sc. Degree
B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Electronics, with Physics as an individual subject in at least one year.
Minimum 55% marks in the final year.
At least 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th Standard.
10th, 12th, and Degree must be obtained from a recognized board or university.
Option 3: B.E. / B.Tech Degree
B.E. / B.Tech Degree from IIT or an institution approved by AICTE.
Minimum 50% marks in the final year.
At least 50% marks in English in 10th, 12th, or Degree course.
10th, 12th, and Degree must be completed from a recognized board or university.
Selection Process
Admission is subject to:
Qualifying in IMU-CET.
Meeting all eligibility requirements set by the Indian Maritime University.

Two batches are conducted every year – February and August.
Medical & Physical Standards
Candidates must:
Be medically fit for sea service as per STCW 2010 / MS Medical Rules 2000 (including amendments).
Undergo a medical examination by a Company-appointed doctor.
Important Notes
A 5% relaxation in PCM marks is applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
Candidates who have completed their education through NIOS Board are not eligible.
