Category 1
Applicants must have completed a four-year B.E./B.Tech degree (including lateral entry) with at least 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication/Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or an equivalent discipline.
A minimum of 50% marks in English in either 10th or 12th standard is required. If this requirement is not met, candidates are still eligible if they have secured at least 50% in their degree and studied the program in English medium.
Category 2
Candidates who entered a Diploma program after 10th (Matriculation) and later joined B.E./B.Tech through lateral entry in the second year must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the above-mentioned engineering streams.
They must have scored at least 50% in English in 10th standard. If not, eligibility will be considered if the candidate secured 60% in Diploma or 50% in Degree, provided the course was completed in English medium.
Category 3
Applicants holding a three-year Diploma with minimum 60% marks in the specified engineering disciplines are eligible.
A minimum of 50% in English in 10th standard is required. If this is not achieved, candidates must have scored 60% in Diploma and studied in English medium.
Additional Requirements
A valid passport is compulsory.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for General category candidates.
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and an additional 2 years for women candidates.
Medical Fitness: Must meet standard sea-service medical norms, including eyesight within ±2.5 and no colour vision deficiency.
All qualifications must be recognized by AICTE or approved by the respective State or Central Government.
