Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following academic requirements:

Option 1:
Must have successfully completed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as individual subjects. A minimum of 50% marks in English either in 10th or 12th standard is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must have completed a 3-year Diploma course with at least 60% aggregate marks.

OR

Option 2:
Must have completed a 4-year Engineering Degree (including candidates admitted through lateral entry) with minimum 50% aggregate marks in any of the following disciplines:

• Electrical Engineering

• Electronics Engineering

• Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication Engineering

• Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering

• Or any equivalent approved stream

OR

Option 3:
Must have passed 10th standard with English as a separate subject securing minimum 50% marks in English. In addition, the candidate should have completed a Diploma course with at least 60% marks and thereafter completed a 3-year Engineering Degree through lateral entry with minimum 50% marks in any of the above-mentioned streams.

Note: All Diploma and Degree qualifications must be recognized by AICTE or by any State or Central Government authority.

Age Limit

The candidate should not exceed 35 years of age as on the date of commencement of the course.

Medical Fitness

All selected candidates must undergo a thorough medical examination conducted by a Doctor approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS).
Medical examination can also be completed through our in-house DGS-approved medical practitioner.
