Important Admission Requirements
A valid passport is mandatory at the time of admission.
IMU CET 2024–25 qualification is compulsory for admission into First Year B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc Nautical Science.
To pursue a sea-going career approved by DGS, candidates must complete:
Minimum 6 months onboard training after B.Tech Marine Engineering
Minimum 12 months onboard training after B.Sc Nautical Science
Academic Eligibility
Applicants must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with:
Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)
Minimum 50% marks in English, either in Class X or Class XII
Age Criteria
Maximum age: Below 25 years as on 1st August of the admission year
Age will be calculated as per the School Leaving Certificate
Relaxations:
SC/ST: up to 5 years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): up to 3 years
Women candidates: additional relaxation of 2 years

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination with:

Shortlisting & Admission Confirmation
Candidates are shortlisted based on PCM academic performance and medical fitness as per DGS standards.
Shortlisted applicants are invited to the campus for admission confirmation, generally during June–July.
Where required, online document verification and confirmation may be conducted through email.
Personal Interview
Applicants undergo an interview conducted by academic and maritime professionals.
